Contract User-Defined Fields
SECURITY Security level with "Admin: Application-wide (Shared) Features“ or “Admin: Contracts & Un-Posting“ permission
NAVIGATION > Contracts > Search > Contracts > open a contract > Menu > User-Defined Fields
Your administrator can create user-defined fields for contracts. Refer to Managing user-defined fields.
- Contract UDFs are available in widgets for all contract-related entities including Devices, Contracts, Invoice Items, Milestones, Pending Billing Items, Posted Billing Items, Projects, Recurring Tickets, Tickets, and Work Entries.
- The UDF type, for example, text or numeric, determines where and how the UDF can be used in a widget, for example, to report on or as a filter.
- All UDFs are available in drill-in table column chooser for contract-entity widgets.
To view or edit contract UDFs, do the following:
- To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above. The list of contract UDFs opens. Field names are shown in the left column.
- To edit a UDF, click on the field name. The Edit User-Defined Field dialog window will open.
- Specify or edit the value in the field below the UDF name. The value will appear in the User-Defined Field Value column.
- Optionally, enter a Reason for Change for future reference. The Reason for Change is saved as a contract note, available to internal users only. To view change reasons, click Notes in the contract menu.
- Save the UDF.
