Adding and managing contact groups
You create new and manage existing contact groups on the Contact Group Manager page. There is no limit to the number of groups you can create or the number of contacts that a group can contain.
Adding a contact group
You must create the contact group before you can begin to add contacts.
- To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.
- In the Contact Groups list, click New to open the New Contact Group page.
- Enter a Name for the group. The new group is Active by default.
- Click Save & Close.
- The new group opens in the Contact Group Detail page. From here, you can add contacts to the group. Refer to Adding members to a contact group.
Managing contact groups
Existing contact groups are managed from a right-click menu on the Contact Group Manager page.
Menu Option | Description |

Send Email to this Contact Group | Opens the Contact Action Page to the E-mail section. Refer to Creating and executing contact actions. |
Create a Note for this Contact Group | Opens the Contact Action Page to the Note section. Refer to Creating and executing contact actions. |
Create a To-Do for this Contact Group | Opens the Contact Action Page to the To-Do section. Refer to Creating and executing contact actions. |

Copy Contact Group | Creates a duplicate group with a name of "Copy of [original group name]" that contains all the contacts contained in the original group. |
Activate/Inactivate Contact Group | Changes the Active status of the selected group. Inactive contact groups are not available for use. They do not appear in any selection menus, for example, in the Add Contact to Group page or the contact Group Manager group filter. They continue to appear in the Contact Group List but the Active column does not display a check mark. |
Delete Contact Group | Deletes the selected group. When you delete a contact group, you delete the list of contacts, not the actual contacts. There is no undo for the delete option. |
