Technical prerequisites
As part of your Autotask implementation, you must get your network and workstations ready to run Autotask.
For your workstations:
- Ensure that all workstations meet the minimum system requirements. Refer to System requirements.
- Make sure that browser settings are compatible with Autotask. Refer to Browser settings.
For your network:
- You need to add the IP addresses Autotask uses to send email notifications to your allowlist. Email notifications are a big part of the automation you will want to achieve. Refer to Allowlisting IP addresses.
- If connectivity seems slow, try running the Autotask CDT Utility. Refer to Testing connectivity.
It is also not too early to think about your security requirements and plan for the Autotask security features you want to implement.
- Refer to Managing security in Autotask.
Finally, if you need to know which build of Autotask you're running, or what the customer identifier (CI) number of your Autotask instance is, hover over the Help icon in the main workspace and select About Autotask (under the System & Browser heading).
- Your CI number appears in parentheses, next to your account name.
- The Autotask version and build number is shown next.
- The Autotask Customer ID is displayed last. This number is used by the Kaseya Helpdesk team and corresponds to your customer ID in our Autotask instance.
